Learning how to snowboard can seem very, veeeery hard at first.
….that’s because it is!!
I fell so many times I don’t even remember. Well, the bruises on my knees help me remember this.
But it was all worth it! I’m hooked and already planning my next trip to the mountains.
My tip for learning is: TAKE LESSONS! Really! Take at least one lesson. You won’t regret it!
It will teach you the proper technique from the start, instant feedback if you are doing things right so learning will be easier, faster and definitely more fun! Especially if you have a cool monitor like I did .
His name is Marco Leu and he does snowboard camps if you want to try and learn how to snowboard. It’s a fun sport and he’s a great instructor.
I stayed for just 2 days in Poiana Brasov, at Teleferic Grand Hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel! It’s cool, it has great rooms, amazing food and you can rent snowboard and skiing equipment directly from the hotel. The best part was relaxing my sore muscles in the spa, at night, after a full day of snowboarding (or falling on my ass ).
Some of my friends came to ski and We decided to end the day on top of the mountain, drinking a hot chocolate while watching the sunset .
It was all fun and nice …until we realized it’s getting dark and we have to ski and snowboard our way down.
It got soooo dark, that one them decided to walk down, while carrying her gear. It was her first day of learding …pretty sure the last day too
In the end nobody got hurt, we had a new story to tell and ended up laughing with a glass of red wine in our hands
Just one for me …cause i had to leave straight to the airport: destination Dubai!
